TIME Magazine - TIME100 Next

Commissioned by New York City’s TIME Magazine to collaborate with photographer Nelson Huang to create a set that highlights comedian and Emmy-nominated actor, Joel Kim Booster, for their TIME100 Next issue. We worked on a creative concept that was polished and emits movement, expression and energy, to pay homage to Booster’s continued rise. For this project, I painted a captivating backdrop that used warm and vibrant colours, reminisce to a sunrise.

TIME’s TIME100 Next is a list published every year— inspired by their flagship TIME100— that recognizes 100 rising stars from across industries and around the world. TIME recognizes that there’s no one way to have an impact, and thus no one way by which they measure the influence essential to its selections. As a result, and by design, the 2022 TIME100 Next list features musicians as well as medical professionals, government officials as well as movement leaders, and high-profile whistle-blowers alongside top CEOs—all curated by TIME’s journalists and informed by their reporting.
