Knix 'Love Your Shape' Shapewear Launch
Knix 'Love Your Shape' Shapewear Launch

Key Highlights
Owned end-to-end art direction and hand-production of custom window installations for the launch of Knix's shapewear line across their flagship stores.
Installations contributed to a 24% increase in store traffic in the first week of launch, with first-week sales exceeding targets by 30%.
Designed for longevity and reusability with a sustainable production approach. Props were custom-built from sheet metal, plywood, and laser-cut styrofoam, with custom-mixed paint finishes to match the collection.

Knix launched their shapewear line in response to direct customer demand. The collection was built around a clear philosophy: enhancing the shape of your body, not hiding or constricting it. The window installations needed to carry that ethos into physical retail space.
I owned the project from concept through to on-site execution, working closely with the Creative Director for alignment and approval. The concept was rooted in strength and confidence — sculptural forms, tonal minimalism, and fluid lines that celebrated the body. I led the full creative process from spatial planning and material selection to colour palette development, 2D renderings, and final installation.
A key consideration was designing for fully open, visible window spaces where installations would be viewed at every angle, including from inside the store. This shaped composition and mannequin placement, ensuring the product was hero'd from both front and back.
On the production side, I was deliberate about sustainability, designing props with longevity and reusability in mind. I coordinated with vendors for precision plywood cutting and laser-cut styrofoam shapes, built the structural frameworks in-house, and used sheet metal to finish curvier forms. For the paint finishes, I custom-mixed colours to match the collection and added baking soda to select areas to create subtle texture — a small detail that nodded to the brand's value of inclusivity and celebrating different bodies.
Knix is a direct-to-consumer intimate apparel brand that spent a decade reimagining intimates for real life — introducing leakproof underwear to the world in 2013. In July 2022, Knix was acquired by Essity in one of the largest publicly disclosed private sales of a DTC brand by a female founder.
